Jonathan Citrin – Founder, CEO & CCO

Jonathan Citrin founded CitrinGroup in 2003 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. He is also Chairman of CitrinGroup's Investment Advisory Board. In addition, Mr. Citrin is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Wayne State University's School of Business Administration, where his classes include Security Analysis, Investment Policies, and Corporate Finance. Prior to starting CitrinGroup, Mr. Citrin managed investment portfolios at MorganStanley and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Before entering the investment industry, he worked as an educator in both New York and Texas.

In addition to his professional work, Mr. Citrin devotes time to several philanthropic endeavors. He is Chair of the Board of Directors at Starfish Family Services, a Michigan-based non-profit organization, where he also serves as Chair of the Executive Committee and member of the Governance Committee. Mr. Citrin gives time to the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit where he is Chair of the Grants & Distributions Committee and a member of the Board of Governors. His past philanthropic work spans board and committee positions including the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Centers of Detroit and the Investment Committee and Government Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit.

Mr. Citrin received his B.A. from Tulane University and his M.A. from New York University.
